Allen Dunlap | Chairman of the Board
Allen was born and raised in Ohio and graduated from Bowling Green State
University with a BA in education. He subsequently furthered his education
and became a licensed Healthcare Administrator in 1990 and joined an Ohio
Long Term Care and Rehabilitation Facility. Allen has remained with the
same company for 17 years and after 7 was promoted to Regional Director
of 10 facilities located throughout Ohio, Florida, and Arizona. His responsibilities
included the day to day operations and annual budgets totaling approximately
60 million dollars. In 2001, Allen relocated to AZ and was introduced to
TNF one year later by a former Board Member. He has served as a Board Member
since 2002 and Treasurer since 2003. Allen describes himself as a humanitarian
at heart who finds the experience of being a part of an organization which
helps mend and improve lives of children extremely rewarding.
Ray LaStrape Sr. | Secretary
Ray LaStrape Sr. is a graduate of Southern Illinois University (Carbondale) where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in management. He retired from the United States Army in 1999 after 21 years of service as a senior technical support Warrant Officer supporting military operations around the world. After retiring from the military he became Director of Customer Service for the Western Region of Office Depot. He currently is Vice President of New Operations for the Online Division of Corinthian Colleges, Inc. responsible for opening online service centers across the country. He is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and currently the Vice President of the Phoenix Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. He is also on the Board of Directors for the Western Province of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. He has a passion for working with youth and currently sits on the Board of Directors for “The Arizona Guide Right Foundation” which is a mentor organization for high school students. He has always been active in community service organizations whose mission is to support and assist the disadvantaged. After being introduced to “The New Foundation” in 2009 and reading their mission statement he quickly realized their mission was in direct alignment with his passion. Ray owes his success to many who took time out of their busy lives to reach back and pull him forward through mentorship and an attentive ear. He feels obligated to do the same for the youth who will be an integral part of our future. He joined the Board of Directors for The New Foundation in September of 2009.
Concepcion Gallegos | Treasurer
Concepcion is a portfolio manager at Sunrise Bank of Arizona, a community bank in Scottsdale, Arizona. Her focus is on assisting small and medium-sized businesses. She has been in commercial banking for about twelve years, of which seven has been at Sunrise Bank. In her role, she has assisted small and medium-sized businesses with financing via conventional and Small Business Administration (SBA) loans. Concepcion was raised in Long Beach, California and moved to Arizona about seven years ago. She joined the Board in April 2008 with the desire to help youth overcome challenges.
J Belfore
Belfore is a partner and systems director at New Angle Media, a Phoenix-based interactive marketing firm in its seventh year of business. His experiences include architecting enterprise-level online applications, directing a team of developers, and managing several Fortune 500 client accounts. Originally from Columbus, Ohio, J moved to Arizona to attend the Eller College of Management at the University of Arizona. He joined the Board in February of '08 and offers his expertise in marketing to help increase visibility and awareness for The New Foundation.
Grant A. Gay, Jr.
A Native of Phoenix, Arizona, Grant worked as a Phoenix Firefighter
for seventeen years. He then became a real estate appraiser for Home
Town Appraisal Services. Inc. which has kept him busy for the last
seventeen years. He is married with one daughter and enjoys movies,
reading and martial arts. Grant became involved with The New Foundation
as a way to give back to the community that has given him so much over
the years. He has always believed in being a volunteer of some sort
and helping out wherever he can. The New Foundation has given him the
opportunity to continue on that path.
Scott Russell
Scott is a registered pharmacist who was raised in Oklahoma and moved
to Arizona in 1992. The New Foundation holds a special
place in his heart as he understands the emotional challenges some children
experience. He has found his experience in working with TNF to be a rewarding
one.
