Our Staff

The staff of The New Foundation is comprised of both professional and administrative employees. They include Independent and Master's level therapists, psychiatrists, nurses, behavioral health technicians, as well as an incredible support staff who ensure the smooth functioning of The New Foundation. Here are just a few of our key staff:

Dr. Adeola Adelayo | Resident Psychiatrist
Dr. Adeola Adelayo is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. She graduated cum laude from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Illinois at Rockford and was the recipient of the David Mortimer Olkon Scholarship for outstanding performance in Psychiatry Clerkship and also the Betram A. Richardson Fellowship for participation in an International rotation at the Oxford University in England. Dr. Adelayo completed both her General Psychiatry residency and her Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at the University of Illinois at Chicago Institute for Juvenile Research.

Dr. Adelayo is trained in the management of emotional and behavioral problems across the developmental continuum and believes in comprehensive psychiatric care and works collaboratively with patients, their family and the treatment team to develop a holistic treatment plan. In addition to psychopharmacologic management of psychiatric illness, she also incorporates techniques from a wide variety of psychological styles. She has worked in both Private practice and community mental health settings and is licensed to practice medicine in Arizona, Indiana and Illinois.

Geri Leary, MSW, LCSW | Chief Executive Officer
Geri has a Masters degree in Social Work from Marywood College Graduate School of Social Work in Scranton, PA, and is a Licensed Independent social worker in Arizona. Geri’s professional achievements include providing psychiatric services to diverse populations including geriatrics, adults, children and adolescent with a special emphasis in crisis intervention and chemical dependency. During the past ten years, Geri has focused her expertise on adolesent chemical dependency. She has developed inpatient, out-patient, after care and family programs dealing with the multifaceted problems associated with chemical dependency.
